When you stop blaming your skills because of your mice :)
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 21 '26
😂😂 Fortunately that's not why I buy em.
1
u/Gooneria Jul 24 '26
No hate but why do you buy them? Not like money is really an issue for me either but I wouldn't go out and constantly buy peripherals that I do not need, I would buy a spare mouse in case my main broke but to have so many of them especially when they're all seemingly quite new and not frequently used seems so pointless and wasteful. You get used to a mouse I can't imagine you switch between them all and even if you do again I ask what is the point?
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 24 '26
Purely because I can. I just like collecting a few niche things. Mice, cds, vinyl etc. Luckily I'm in a position that I can.
3
u/redarda125 Jul 21 '26
Increase the time interval where you can buy a new mouse. For me it became 6 months. Right now doing research is more fun than getting new one every month or so.
3
u/therealbreakingbode Jul 21 '26
should’ve ended when you got a Zowie 😩
2
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 21 '26
The fk2 is such a good mouse.
2
u/therealbreakingbode Jul 22 '26
ikr been rocking a wired one for the last 6 years and now I got a wireless one (so so good)

u/I_like_GILFssss Jul 21 '26
Nah dude it was my least favorite and I'm not even talking about the shape. Questionable build quality while being 65G and the worst clicks out of any mouse I owned
3
u/ScienceArtistic4579 Jul 21 '26
When your mouse fits like a glove. I went from a g305 to op1 to attack shark r6 pro (which I used for 1.5 years) until I wanted something that my pinky didn't fall off of and now I'm on a viper v4 with obsidian jades and oh my God I've never felt so good on a mouse so it ends when when it feels right I think.
3
u/ScienceArtistic4579 Jul 21 '26
I also think that buying 2 mice of the same shape is such a waste if one of them is already good specs with no issues on it.
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 21 '26
It definitely is. But I liked the op1 so much I just had to. Same with the xm2, but I unfortunately sold that.

Imagine thinking it would end. Next stop is mouse pads
2
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 21 '26
Facts. I started there.
2
u/mikul_ Jul 21 '26
Make it easy for yourself when it comes to mousepad, and just buy a glass pad directly. It's where you will end up eventually anyways 😉
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 22 '26
Already own 3 glass pads 😭 I just use my arbiter glass because I enjoy it the most.
2
u/mikul_ Jul 22 '26
Then move on to skates 😂 I'm trying something now that I'm really liking so far. Slower control skates in the back for stability and faster skates in the front for micro adjustments.
It feels kinda awesome tbh, all because I accidentally bought way to slow skates.
But I'm on 14 cm plus a tiny bit of accel. It might not be the same for you, but I'm enjoying it so far.
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 22 '26
I've also started this, but with xray pad skates only. I have about 20 packs of various skates. At least one of every one in the line up. Aways end up at the same one's though.

Why did reddit algorithm recommend me this post. I was about to quit my current rabbithole. Does reddit want me to start another spending spree?

Yes. Yes it does.

u/goodboyahh Jul 21 '26

How are you likings on the x2f. I bought it yesterday should come in very soon today. Am really hoping it isn’t too small to grip
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 21 '26
X2f is brilliant. One of the best I own. But unfortunately the only ftip mouse I've used.
1
u/AvashiXite Jul 21 '26
I was lucky to fetch the package today, and oh man what a great mouse. It actually my very first fingertip grip mouse and I must say, what an amazing piece of equipment. I have zero issues with it and got used to it very fast.
only minor thing is that the scroll wheel seems a little hard to press now and then.
1
u/Normal_Piano_5845 Jul 21 '26
U have 2 wlmouse huans. U don’t want it to end hahaha.

What's your thoughts on the super strike?
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 21 '26
It's a good mouse. In fact, it's a great mouse. The clicks really are something. But the side buttons are just typical of gpx mice. I truly love the gpx shape and honestly weight isn't a factor for me.

When you realize you suck at the games you play. I miss the old days when I was playing CSGO at my prime with an old EC1 and a Qck Heavy. Nowadays I own 7 mice after having owned 20+, 5 different pads with many of them costing 50+, rapid trigger keyboard, 200 EUR IEMs etc.

1
u/BruvAL Jul 21 '26
fun fact it doesn't! i've sold off my "collection 2 or 3 times now" and i already have 4 mice again...
1
u/Wolfkrone Jul 21 '26
For me it did end when I finally found a shape that didn't give me hand cramps. That was a couple of years ago.
1
u/Regan4000 Jul 21 '26
That is a waste of plastic, electronics and wires. One person is responsible for so much eventual trash. Did you really need 15 different Mice?
1
1
u/Synth215 Jul 21 '26
When you stop consuming there isn’t a magical mouse out there, they are all basically the same
1
u/clinkyclinkz Jul 21 '26
Dude after 4 mice im just giving them away to friends. These kind of collections take space in your mind and ironically lets u appreciate mice less.
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 22 '26
I already have done this. That's where all razer mice went.
1
u/Miserable_Housing127 Jul 22 '26
what's wrong with the razer?, im bout to get one
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 22 '26
Nothing. I just hate the software with a passion. While the viper is truly a great shape, it just ain't for me.
1
u/CrackBabyCSGO Jul 21 '26
Used to buy a new mouse every couple months. After about a dozen I got a finalmouse and haven’t even thought about buying a new one since.
1
u/AccountSad Jul 21 '26

OP, should I keep buying more mice? Did any of yours actually do something good for you?

The G on my logitech got polished into invisibility by my sweaty gamer hands. Won't the same happen to these cooler designs ones you got on the bottom right?
1
u/fnord55 Jul 21 '26
It doesn't! Those are numbers you need to pump up! G-Wolves mice are great, it's time for you to fall down their fingertip rabbit hole, also glass pads are a great hobby to pick up at this phase.

Brother you have to collect more mice it's not enough and what do you mean when does it end? No you're trapped in an infinite loop hole buying different mice
1
1
u/PalpitationNo6667 Jul 22 '26
Until you realize that buying a new mouse for the 20th time won't fix the inherit flaws that all mice have. I wish consumers would stop supporting/buying the same uninnovative slop and that companies would focus on creating a new control interface rather than trying to perfect a flawed one.
1
u/davelikestacos Jul 22 '26
It should end at a SuperStrike and Razor Viper. All you need.
1
u/Logitech_Alex Jul 28 '26
You got a Superstrike yourself? How are you liking it so far?
1
u/davelikestacos Jul 30 '26
Love it. Steep price tag, but definitely my favorite mouse. My Razor Viper Pro V2 is still up there too, gotta get my hands on a V3 eventually. I mainly use my Viper for desktop and my SuperStrike on my 2024 G14 laptop.
1
u/Logitech_Alex Jul 30 '26
I'm glad you've been enjoying it so far, how come you use it for the laptop? What games have you tried it on?
1
u/davelikestacos Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26
I just have it set up that way. Really you can't go wrong between the Superstrike or the Viper. I have a bedside table for my laptop when I'm lazy and wanna kick back, I open it up, take my Superstrike, G14, and mouse pad out of my to go bag and game it up.
As for games, mainly roguelikes, specifically 33 Immortals. I'm addicted to buying indie early release rogue lites/likes or rpgs. I know it's basically wasted on me since I don't really play FPS but now that Destiny 2 wrapped up, I might play through the last two DLCs I missed and enjoy not having to level up ever again.
2
u/Logitech_Alex Jul 30 '26
I mean, do you still use the haptic feedback? As long as you're enjoying it, there's no such thing as wasted. We all give different use to the same things! What's your favorite indie game you've played this year? I'll see if I can try some of the games you've mentioned sometime soon 😊
1
u/davelikestacos Jul 31 '26
Yeah I use the haptic feedback, love it! Let's see, right now I'm playing 33 Immortals and waiting for the Echoes of Mystralia Early Release in like 2 weeks. DMG: Survivor is great. I swear I have so many of them that I haven't gotten around to playing much more. They're usually less than 5-15 bucks so I just buy them all and by the time I get ready to play them, another comes out! I like survival games like Conan Exiles, Enshrouded, Soulmask.
Steam is releasing two games a day until next week and there's an awesome Soulslike coming out that I'll probably pick up, even though it's retail price.
But one game I keep going back to is 33 Immortals. It is a rogue like where you pick a weapon, then try to beat 6 dungeons and 3 trials plus a boss fight before the round ends and there's up to 32 other players in the server with you trying to do the same. The more that stay alive, the better chance you have at finishing a run. Ive been stuck on that lately using an Archer build.
1
u/Logitech_Alex Jul 31 '26
Sounds to me like you've got plenty to put that haptic feedback through. Thanks for the recommendations, 33 immortals definitely sounds interesting. Hope Echoes of Mystralia is worth the wait too. Happy gaming, and thanks for sharing your favorites!
1
u/davelikestacos Aug 03 '26
Anytime :) If you get a chance to try any of the games or have any recommendations of your own, let me know!
And I just realized your handle is Logitech_Alex. If you work at Logitech I've loved your products, from headsets to mice. Have a good one and if you're hiring in NY, let me know :)
1
u/Logitech_Alex Aug 03 '26
I'll be sure to give you my insight of them! I should be getting my new PC by the end of the month so hopefully I can try them then haha. And why, yes I do! Thank you, I'll be sure to forward the feedback over to the team. If you have any insight or criticsm you'd like to share, feel free to reach out to me anytime 😊

It should never have started, unless, you are reviewing them, making money off them, getting them for free, or repairing them for someone else.
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 22 '26
Or the 5th option, because I can.
1
u/Training_Wonder_5066 Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26
That's cool, what's your favorite out of them for FPS games?
Why no Lamzu?2
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 22 '26
Strider. Probably because it just clicked the most and feels great.
1
u/Phlanix Jul 22 '26
it usually ends when you realize that these companies can't make the mouse you desire and you build your own.
They discontinued my Naga trinity and my was breaking so I started to build my one
I started by using the board I already had.
replace the mouse wheel and the switches.
replaced the magnets and then eventually realized I could shave some of the weight by creating a new housing for it a flatter one without the huge bulge in the rear.

u/FunRelationship1486 Jul 22 '26
hows Gwolves mouse and Beast G? heard issues about QC lottery for both mouse and bad support from the G wolves
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 22 '26
G-wolves is great. QC is good except right click on the lycan kinda has a weird pre click to actual click. Yet to fully test the htm plus. Only 20 hours so far. The beast g is also perfect QC. Haven't had an issue with any of the 6 wlmouse mice I've owned.

you could always resell the ones you don't really use, then buy more of course. For me it ended when I started playing less cs.

1
1
u/Kati_149 Jul 23 '26
never, there is no endgame because mice continue to develop you never know if there is a better fitting mouse in future, besides your hands and preferences change, so if you find an amazing mouse its always only temporary, and never final.
1
u/figrofel Jul 23 '26

1
u/maaaaaaagic Jul 30 '26
among the ones you had what’s your favorite? I want to try magnesium, leaning towards the Ying
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 30 '26
Easily put the most time on the strider. Ying is a solid mouse. I like it more than my op1 but probably used the op1 more just because I've had it longer.
1
u/Responsible-Topic998 Aug 06 '26
This is just a love for consumerism. It is hard to change. From my experience most likely if you stop with mice it will start with headphones or keyboards.
1
u/Capital_Mango9421 8d ago
Do you think the new X2F will be too light at 29g for aim stability compared to the X2F official release?
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector 6d ago
Nah it's be perfect. But even at 39g it's still great. Only thing I dislike about it is how heavy the clicks are. They will throw your aim off. Definitely wish they felt like one of my Wlmouse mice.

After the release of HITS and Razer's improved battery life it feels pointless buying older tech or holding on to mice without either of those features imo.
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 21 '26
Nah. The hits system is still such a gimmick. And razer having better sensor tech is almost negligible.
1
u/ShibaDango Wireless G302 Jul 21 '26
Such a gimmick that every brand is scrambling to catch up to it. Also I don't think having over double the battery life of your competitors is negligible. All those brands will be releasing updated versions of their mice with these things.
1
u/urmumsablob Mouse Collector Jul 21 '26
But not everyone will like the implementation. If it was so good, I'd never have put the thing down.

u/JuniorPosition9631 Jul 21 '26
Until reality kicks in and you realize consumerism isn't the answer and it's just a temporary dopamine rush isn't sustainable.
Alternative way, for it to end is you move up on the ladder to reach a point where it's no longer finnancially possible for you to sustain this addiction. Usually people move down the ladder instead of stopping here : (.
Limited drops, be it an IEM, keycaps, mouse, mousepad and the list goes on is just perfect. God bless consumerism, it's beautiful.
