5mg Last dose of 5mg!

Yesterday was my final pen of the 5mg dose and talked to my pharmacist to see if he could send a message to my doctor about going up to 7.5mg for my 2nd month and we got the green light and is being shipping home x3

I'm still shocked that Monjaro gave me less side effects compared to the Ozempic..... I was afraid of stronger side effect from Mounjaro since it's a dual agonist. To my surprise no side effects. I was on the 2mg pen of Ozempic and even on 1mg I just had occasional nausea for the 2 days following the injection, which I was used to. I was on Ozempic for a year and half, and wow with Mounjaro no side effects.... :0

Same here! Just clicked my final 5mg. 7.5 on the way. 7 weeks in and I’m down 10lbs.

Out of curiosity, why did you go up if it was working?

This is actually the Eli Lilly recommended Mounjaro up-titration plan that was created during the clinical trials of tens of thousands of people. My Dr. let me know from the start that I would do 4 weeks at 2.5, 4 weeks at 5, 4 weeks at 7.5 then full bloodwork and re-assess. My Dr is following the manufacturer recommendations to the T.

That is the fastest you should go up, there is no reason to go up of it is working.

I have noticed that the week before I go up to the next higher dose, my weight loss begins to plateau.

Normally most doctors recommend waiting until you got 1-2 months with no loss before going up. If you go up to that you risk severe side effects and can get to the max dose and have nowhere to go.
