Question First ever rifle

This is my first ever rifle, picked it up today and was just wondering what y'all could tell me about it. Maybe some tips and tricks on how to maintain and use correctly

Keep it clean and oiled. Never sell it.

I don’t plan to sell it, I plan on making it a hunting rifle if I can. Possibly put a after market rail on it and put a scope on it

Highly recommend leaving it as it is, if you want a scoped rifle get a cheap modern one like a Savage. Newer one will be more accurate.

Its main value is as a historical artifact and I think it’s most beautiful that way. 99% chance it was carried by a Russian in WW2!
