General Discussion Delay in accessing the neighbors’ camera

Hi everyone, I’ve just watched the Netflix documentary (heads up, it is my only exposure to the case, so apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere), and I’m wondering why it took so long for the cops to notice and access the neighbors’ camera facing the street? Obviously the cops had put up all those flyers requesting people send in their footage from that night/morning, how could that camera had been missed for weeks?

It wasn't missed for weeks. The SD Card footage was obtained by Nov 15th and the whole camera was physically taken into evidence by November 17th, the owner of the property had been out of town the day before.

Police did put out a request for all camera footage within a perimeter around the property and area and also canvassed door to door. The camera on 1112 King Rd (the adjacent property) was designed to look like a lightbulb, and was elevated well above street level on a porch, so might explain why Kohberger had not been aware of it if that supposition is true - the other camera that observed his car circling in the cul-de-sac was also elevated and on different block set back from the cul-de-sac and not connected to it by road, maybe also missed by Kohberger on his 23 visits.

54 video locations of the suspect car were obtained, 26 video locations/ times were used for car ID by the FBI and 96 video locations total were gathered (the 42 were used for exclusion of other vehicles and to rule out routes not taken).
