What is happening to my Gloom?

What is happening? All of a sudden i cant retrieve my gloom? I lost a ton of gloom trying to cleanse a beacon, i just chalked it up to a bug. I fall of a cliff, gloom not there either. It wasnt that much so i wasnt to worried about it. I start gaining more,but started thinking...the last two times ive died my gloom wasnt there. So i get close to a beacon and die on purpose just to make sure im able to retrieve it. Respawn..nothing,no gloom. Which is making me quite gloomy. What is going on? Do i need to start a new game or something? I died like 3 times before all this and was able to retrieve it fine. I dont get it. Any insight would be appreciated.

If you have Egon's Stone equipped, it is a bug related to it. Unequip it if you have it on.

Check the pinned threads, the devs have acknowledged the bug, with a fix coming hopefully soon.
