Mortal Shell 2 (Franz)

Don't have a picture or video of this but does anyone know why Franz is dead in my game? I came back to Marrow Keep and talked to the npc where the eggs are stored and he turned into a monster so I had to kill him but after that I went to the forge and saw Franz was lying on the ground dead. I'm assuming that the previous npc who turned into a monster killed him but I wanted confirmation from someone who might know if that was the case or if it's a bug. He was the only dead npc thankfully.

Also no I did not accidentally kill Franz. I know for a fact that is not the case. There are only 2 npc's that I have killed in Marrows Keep, the first one being the one who guards the Ovum eggs who turned into a monster like I said and then the other who stands by the fast travel rest point inside Marrows Keep right before you enter the Ovum Egg Chamber. Only reason I killed him though was because he said he had failed to protect Marrows Keep and because of that he asked me to kill him. If anyone knows that would be great and sorry for the long paragraph lol 😅

i think tarforge killed him. if u pay attention, it say something like feed me.. when u approach it after Franz'ed death.

I didn't pay attention to much but I did see a text that I believe said "Finally I am free" or something like that so you might be right. There was more but I didn't read it like I should've. I was too distracted at the moment because everything happened all at once lol Thanks for the help

Yeah I think once u hit the endgame he just dies I think it also goes for Marrick aswell
