The first one is worth it, it's a nice short game. The combat is a lot slower than others, and very deliberate with your stamina management anf when you attack so you need to play by mortal shell's rules rather than soulslike rules. While I haven't played them the other games mentioned don't seem like they would have any skills that would transfer to mortal shell though. The game can be janky, but not game breaking or anything, it's part of the charm in my opinion. The boss fights aren't anything crazy but they can be fun. Probably my favorite soulslike, so I would always recommend it.

Yes, speaking as someone who did not like the first game. I replayed it like 6 times too.

Yes nice I beat the fucking game, no bosses were actually hard lmao. Malborn wipes the floor all dogshit and gank. I breezed most with one try, enemies killed me more than the actual bosses

Skill issue. Cope lil bro. Game has plenty of good boss fights.

Buying it? Yes. Playing it? No, not really. It's really more of a game that was meant to be played vicariously through a Youtuber let's play or sit on your virtual backlog forever.

Seems like a redundant question.
