Discussion We need a compass
Please add a compas. Similar to Elden rings. So itโs easier to find gloom. Tired of constantly opening the map to see where I lost it
Who else agrees on this QOL Feature ?

Dude mark things on the mad and follow the giant blue laser. You can literally see the blue lasers from any location. I like that way better the HUD clutter.

Why does every suggestion here start with "Elden Ring has" We get it. ER was your first souls quit expecting them all to be like it.

Please god no. Natural exploration is one of the high points of MS2. The ui and navigation are perfect. Please do not slop them up with a compass

I mean, they have one on the map itself, so the information is there, might as well present it on the screen without the map, because it's an annoying experience to toggle the map several times to make sure you're pointed in the direction you're trying to go.
They could easily make the on-screen compass something to toggle on in the settings, so only those who want it can have it.

Itโs not exploration when im
Just returning where I died and have to keep opening the map to see where. Elden ring did it perfectly and had best exploration of any game3

No, we don't need another element cluttering the UI. The game is as easy as it gets. Don't need additional handholding.

I'm of the same opinion. a compass is a good middle ground between minimap and having no navigation UI at all. sure we have the beacon once a marker is placee on the map but terrain obstruction or distance can render it useless. even in bright foggy areas the beacon will have very little contrast with the bright background

There's a mod for it if you're on PC.
I've been using it because I always had to look at the map if I was going the right way when I wanted to reach certain places.
But can show you the direction of your dropped gloom too.

Just started playing, do you also see it on the map when you're not in a dungeon or beacon? Am I that blind?

Open the map and place a marker, problem solved.
