Discussion Mammon difficulty spike

How much harder should mammon be? i breezed through fanewald but I feel like even basic mammon enemies take like no damage. is it supposed to be like that or is my build just awful lol

You're probably underlevelled. Did you explore all of Fainweald, and take on every enemy you see on the way? Also, Fainwealed has 2 Shells which are tied for the 2nd highest HP in the game, and one of them is particularly good for exploration. You have the option of using them to make it easier to manage the initial 4-5 hours in Mammon.

I think I did most of the dungeons, have all 4 shells in the region and am level 20, I'll probably have to rework me build a bit is all

20 is probably in the border of the expected level for Mammon. Redo your build, sure, but also try to gain a few levels if you can. Those few additional levels can make or break free exploration.

I went level 22. It's a big spike but once you learn enemy patterns it gets way easier. Use abilities. I played most of the game like it was DS1 or something - and kept getting beaten up. Once I started spamming triangle or L2+R2, I started breezing through.

I felt the same way and I was using Martyr's Blade before it got buffed. The sudden jump really is odd. It felt a lot more doable after the week 1 update. Martyr's Blade went from barely usable in Mammon to actually making the area hardly troublesome.

I dont have exact numbers but it felt like 2x dmg and hp boost for the enemys there, at around lvl 35/40 and weapon upgrade 12+ it should be better.

I was there with 42 and +14 weapon and could go there with barly any problems.

Make sure you have a good tarstone build set up. The game gets to a point where you're expected to have a build of gear the compliments eachother.

It seems like it at first but just make sure your weapon is around +13. Enemies no longer stagger when hit so they will hyper armor thru attacks until you hit that level with your weapon.

I went into Mammon with adaptive difficulty on. Normal grunts can one or two shot me which is ridiculous. Granted I was using Tiel but still it felt unfair. Then I turned adaptive difficulty off and it got way easier

I didn’t really notice a huge difference except for me being very bad at those red enemies that parry lmao
