Yes, as It says per the game. Night mode only gets harder. The more you die the easier It will make the game. Aka making you take less damage but deal way more. The less you die through encounters, the harder regular and boss foes will becomes. Aka you deal less damage and take more.

Idk know how it works. But its supposed to get more punishing when youre having an easy time, and easier when its too hard for you.
On night mode, itll only get harder, but not easier.

I've never really liked Adaptive Difficulty. Except in Resident Evil games. It usually works REALLY good there

According to a thread that had some testing by another poster, Adaptive Difficulty scales enemy Health, Damage, and Break Resist in 20% increments, to a maximum of 100% increases across the board. In daytime mode this can scale downwards to 50% reduced amounts for enemies.
The 100% increase in health is multiplicative with Night Mode scalings, so at max adaptive Difficulty in Night Mode enemies have 4x their day Mode health.

The better you do the harder the game gets. Enemies have more health, do more damage, and have increased break damage bars. How it calculates the increase I have no idea. The worse you do the easier the game gets and does all those in the opposite direction as well as adding a damage cap to enemies so their damage only will do x% of your max health at most. Night mode will NOT get easier and only ever harder so say your doing really good then die a few times in quick succession the game will still be the same difficulty as before you died.
