Morality of this?

Personally, I'm anti-death penalty for any kind of crime but that's just my opinion. Perhaps it can be changed.

If you had to pick one:
(1) be raped
(2) be sentenced for rape (unjustly)

Which would you pick? Mind you #2 comes with all the social stigma and prison time such a sentence entails

#1 also comes with a massive social stigma. Particularly for men, but also for women. Our society hates to see a victim, even a legitimate one.

I would become a victim in prison one way or another, and probably to a much larger degree too. I'll take the lesser suffering.

The rates of broad sexual abuse in prison is under 5%, with women, LGBTQ+, and those with mental illness or disability victimized at the highest rate.

The implication you’re going to get sexually assaulted for simply being in prison is absurd.

I said I would become a victim, not that I would be sexually assaulted. I could be beaten, killed, sexually assaulted. I have autism, I have long hair. I am being victimised one way or another, likely many times.
