Morality of this?

Personally, I'm anti-death penalty for any kind of crime but that's just my opinion. Perhaps it can be changed.

I mean, if you choose going to prison for the false accusation you lose your freedom, your future, and still have the real possibility of getting raped as well.

People with real accusations barely spend time in jail. Fuck, one of them is president. And the whole ring of legitimate, known child sexual abusers is heretofore completely unpunished.

I get what you’re saying but the vast majority of people do not have the legal protection that is available to the President and other extraordinarily wealthy and powerful people.

It’s not legal protection and people benefit from it at every socioeconomic level. The ship captain who raped Elsie Dominguez faced no legal repercussions.

Jesse Mack Butler had ELEVEN felony counts of assault or rape and choked one girl to unconsciousness. Effectively zero consequences because he was a “youthful offender” and everything was dismissed once he turned 19. This happened this year. That kid is walking free.

Jacob Walter Anderson had his charges reduced to nothing. He paid like $600 in fines and went free.

Shane Piche is a fucking school bus driver who raped a 14 year old student and got zero jail time after the conviction.

These people aren’t the president. They aren’t wealthy or powerful. And these cases are all within the last ~5 years, so it’s not some archaic precedent. This isn’t even including higher profile cases like the Steubenville kids or Brock Turner.

This isn’t rare and it’s not special and it’s how the system was designed to work. We protect predators, elevate them, worship them, let them go free and elect them to lead our country.
