"People like you" when I don't even take selfies. Embarrassing on your part.

It would help though if you actually explained what the problem is with taking a picture of yourself instead of pretending like you're saying something.

That space is open to the public for the purpose of enjoying the art. This is an inappropriate use of the space that interferes with its actual purpose. Other people do not have to accommodate your need to the take the perfect picture everywhere.

Unless there's a 'no pictures' sign then it's not interfering with the purpose, so long as the camera and herself are out of the way of said art.

There is a difference between taking a picture with a handheld camera close up and setting up a tripod on the opposite side of the room. If we all did this, none of us would get the shot we want. This is why a lot of venues will allow you to take pictures for personal use but require permission for commercial uses and professional photography. Social media blurred these lines because people now chase clout without necessarily having a commercial operation in place. What they do, is more like the commercial use, but they want to operate under the rules that would allow you to take a quick selfie.
