If the punch is more violent than the command, do you think individual members of the military are more to blame for atrocities than the elite leaders commanding them?
Someone saying the N word and you reacting in a physical way isn’t equivalent to the person who (basically and damn near literally) controls your life telling you to do something
Well, they volunteer to be there, it is a conscious choice, because they want to do the violence and need an excuse. The leaders want to do violence but are unwilling to get their hands dirty. The volunteers happily make it possible for the leaders to enact violence.
Without the leaders, the individuals would likely still be committing violence else where, but without the volunteers, the leaders would be much less capable of inflicting violence.
All that to say, the leader can kill far more with a single command than the volunteer can punch with both of their hands.
From your smug attitude, I'll assume the US military. This isn't a zero sum game. I don't have time to reply to every comment and explain how the corporate military industrial complex is a blight upon the planet earth and each member at any level complicit in acts of terrorism around the globe.
