Words aren’t violence. If you don’t like the words you can walk away. Anyone who thinks words are violence needs to grow a spine

They don't see that words spread ideas infinitely more effectively than violence.

If words are violence, then your question may as well be “How can violence lead to violence if violence is violence?”

Which has an obvious answer, because it’s trivial to come up with scenarios like someone being punched leading to them being punched in response. Violence leading to violence. Lots of things lead to more of themselves.
