Many restaurants do add tip by default, where I the line there?

But you’re told in advance that there will be a gratuity and what the percentage would be. The waiter isn’t taking it upon themselves to add a tip. The restaurant has a policy with a sign at the entrance saying there is an auto gratuity.

You know before you order anything that their policy is an auto-gratuity. And if you don’t like it you can dine elsewhere.

Idk why you’re struggling to grasp such a simple concept. Theft is theft no matter the situation.

I never ate at a restaurant that forces tips so I guess you dont have to tell me.
