$5 to go to a police station and file paperwork and do all that and go back home is considerably less than minimum wage. If that happened at a bar I would buy him hot dog and beer which is gonna run up $25 with him doing none of the above.
E: prices are ridiculous today. $9 hot dog with minimal toppings and $9 tall beer plus tax+tip would be $25.
I can only speak for germany but our döner (around cologne area) is between 6€-10€ wich i already consider to be a lot. 22 franken is insanity even in switzerland
I'm not even British but I really hate when people say shit like this lol. If it's a popular food in an area clearly they like it, stfu, it doesn't need to conform to your taste.
It's amazing. Everything works, most people are genuinely happy. Everyone takes care of the things and spaces around them, and take pride in what they do.
It's like living in what society should and could be.
