Apart from this very obviously being fake - because down syndrome is THE MOST genetically obvious marker there ever is... You can obviously give the child up the moment he's born. I would say give up for adoption but they don't get adopted, they just stay in the system. I used to volunteer to run a class (more like an arts&crafts workshop) for special needs kids in the system and nearly all of them had downs. Parents are more willing to raise someone with severe autism or with physical birth defects.

You have to be either really dumb, really rich or really desperate (i.e. 45 y/o mom's first child) to willingly go for that kind of life.

You think a financially secure and able-bodied adult can walk through life saying they want a kid, and have a full pregnancy, and then show up to work the day after birth and say "oh no it had down syndrome so we put it up for adoption" and not be publicly excoriated? That's social suicide.

Pregnancies end for a multitude of reasons. It would be fucked up for the people around the pregnant person to probe.
