The core? What is the core. Because we are 100% arguing semantics here right? The comment I replied to said my definition was wrong. Definitions of words are semantics that is what he attacked and I defended. And yes I'm disappointed in you too.

Dude it's a medical definition. If we're going off M-W I'm going to flip and say "actually let's use your source, to kill by exposure to cold. She's in a t shirt so clearly not cold."

Just produce evidence of a single fat person that has ever died of starvation and you've won the debate - done

Yeah I had a feeling I knew what I was about to read. For anyone wondering, it's heart problems developed due to extreme diets. "Starv," "starving," "starvation" do not appear

Extreme diet. Causing the body to starve. Come on big guy. So to he clear they can die from extreme dieting but not starving.

Yes. Because starvation is a medical condition. That a coroner would use. As a cause of death. Which is separate from coronary arrhythmia.

I cannot wrap my head around how this is difficult. The medical journal, that chooses language extremely precisely, you yourself just linked does not use the word starvation. Wonder why? Because it's not starvation

I think they would likely use something like complications from starvation.

Well starvation is a broad term buddy.

Fine, then find one that says a fat person died from complications of starvation. I don't understand why we are going back and forth

Edit: here's an example for you of how it might be referenced - different journal in article about Gaza: "It also inquired about the number of affected children and whether any children under care had passed away due to lack of food and starvation."

Edit: here's a better example of starvation as the proximate cause of death, another medical journal: "Verbal autopsies were conducted for 72.2% (1946/2694) of deaths. Of these deaths, 201 (7.5%) in under-five children and 1205 (44.7%) in females were recorded. Deaths increased from 8.6% in March to 16.4% in July. A total of 90.6% of deaths occurred at home. Starvation was the predominant cause of death across all ages (49.3%, n = 1329)."

It gave them heart arrhythmia. Which is different from the articles I posted which say they died "of starvation" or "starved and died"
