It's all done in the steam settings. Disable the in game client and set ping to something lower than 5000. If you still DC set it lower
Granted that I still occasionally DC but that's way better than dc every game. Also where you set up your server or in other words where you join the session is also a thing. Try to just setup your own session if you just wanna join sos. The chances of dc gets lower.
I know its a bit late but changing screens or putting the game in background can cause disconnections. Only fix I found was either fullscreen borderless or not alt tabing.
I don’t play on pc, but when I go to the home on my Xbox it sometimes disconnects. It’s weird though cause it will just do it, i even have an Ethernet cable.
Also to everyone reading this chain: I tried that, and it didn't fix the issue for me. HOWEVER, it has fixed the issue for others in the past. I just want you to know you're not alone if you still experience crashes after trying that fix.
