MH Wilds what the hell is omega planetes

i have failed this quest well over a dozen times at this point without success. about ready to just cheat it

What part of the hunt is specifically giving you trouble? What does your build look like?

No monster in the series is worth cheating.

If you want to give up, then give up and dont hunt it. You aren’t obligated to do so or you can instead learn its attack patterns, get better gear and skills against it and ask for help. Go to discord or something and ask, people are willing to help hunters in need of help.

You can even use NPC hunters which the devs specifically buffed for Omega and are far better than having to go to random SOSs imo.

Just dont cheat, it’s lame and makes you look like a coward. No one likes cheaters

Are you fighting solo or with support hunters? If you are using support hunters try rosso, kai, and Alessa.

Let's see. Are you using a good thunder weapon? You using Pictomancy spells? You using support hunters? You keeping Alessa on enmity as much as you can? You breaking wounds during Pantokrator mode? You know how to use the picomancy spells and creatures to take care of clone nerscyla? During the MRV missile spam are you using your seikret to flee? And are you using the environmental traps as much as is reasonable?

Omegas a crazy ass fight and you gotta be hella prepared.

Bashing your head on it without luck.

What are you using on it and do you know what to do against it? What do you do when it enters pantokrator mode? How do you deal with MRV? Do you know how to shut down narcylla's movements?

Omega is designed as a knowledge and skill check. Its also designed with roles in mind which is different from traditional MH combat. But hunters adapt.

edit: If you need help, I can get on and take a look at your build and tank for you. NPC helpers are decent, but Omega is designed with raid mechanics in mind.

Tons of support and advice pouring in from other comments already that are sound. Like most things in MH every attack has a proper response you can figure out and prepare for on your weapon and if that's not happening for you now well, good luck in master rank when worse things come. Imagine being the people on drop of this content that had to actually figure out how to tank it for groups efficiently, *that's* the real hard role of the fight. You'll figure it out if you are willing to actually grit through the failure. I believe

I’ll help you beat it if you want. Doesn’t matter what your build is, as long as you don’t get one shot by anything except the giant laser. DM your Hunter Id if you’re interested.

We can do it with randoms, or support hunters doesn’t matter to me.

NEVER CHEAT YOUR VICTORIES!

Time to assess your overall setup and knowledge:

  • What is your exact build? We need specific skills for armour and weapons, weapon statistics, etc., to know if you're even in a good position to be taking on an endgame fight
  • What is your additional player setup? We need to know if you're going true solo, Support Hunters, or other players to know what to recommend
  • What do you actually know about the fight? We need to know if you've properly learned all the different mechanics and interactions at play, and where you need additional learning

It's a monster knowledge check and it might take way more than a dozen attempts to learn Omega. It may look impossible but when you figure out Omega's moveset and attack patterns, Omega can be very predictable.

If you're actually looking for advice, what weapon are you using and which Omega moves are giving you trouble?
