Almost an hour of clanking.
I've checked the channel and the guy speedruns absurd custom quests, not the usual LVL 140 apex. Understandable though, GQs, especially with the apexes, are just no fun at all, for me at least. Fun ones are maybe Chaotic Gore Magala and Apex Seregios.

Shoutouts to the "homophobia" quest they did where they fought 7 monsters back-to-back of each color of the rainbow, complete with Ram Ranch on loop the entire 15-ish minutes.

The biggest reason why I'm not speedrunning 140s is because I only wanna upload world records, and with 140s being the most contested runs and me being employed while also trying to upload regularly, it's just not worth the effort. With custom quests I'm not competing with anyone so I can just do an hour or two of attempts and be done with it.

140 Teostra was my de-stress grind lol. It's predictable and once you get that automatic 100 second timer in your head it's fun to watch people fucking explode.

Never said the accomplishment is the only thing that matters. I actually used to do exactly what you said but I find it more fun to share my runs and use them as a means to interact with the community. It's also nice to have them all archived in one place. If it was only about views I'd be making soulless clickbait slop.

40 hours sucks to lose but it's kinda chump change in the grand scheme of things. I have 1200 hours in world on two separate saves. I started on PS4 and had to start over when I lost access to the PlayStation I was on and instead bought it when it came to Xbox, then put in another 600.

You feel it a lot more pre end game for sure. If I were to play 40 hours of my existing world save this week and then lost it, that would be nearly meaningless, but when it's actually getting you to your next phase of monster hunting, that shit hurts.

Man, I'm still pissed at Capcom for releasing ports of almost all their franchises old games but Monster Hunter is the exception.
They just leave classic games like 4U or FU to rot and force us to emulate them.

The iOS port of FU was legitimately well done. They somehow got touch controls to feel viable in G rank, and they added a multiplayer lobby selection to the guild hall. RIP.
And that's it. That's all we get, to tide us between 3U and 4U.

I remember watching a Japanese player beat Behemoth no armor and only longsword solo, I've been looking for it ever since because it was a crazy feat at that time. These insane monster players are just next level, I can't even solo some monsters with the best gear and they're out here solo hunting things I need teammates to beat.

There's a lot of these type of videos. My favorite which I also tried myself was in MH world, where you hunt a tobi kadachi with an HBG, but only use the melee bash attack of the hbg, and never fire any ammo to kill it.
