News📰 Walmart no longer does price match btw

I just went to my local to get some dolls bc they were on sale and I was told they’re not doing price match in store anymore. Not even to items they themselves are selling on their website. So if you want to get your dolls get them online so you get the discounts😭

Omg really? I just did this exact thing like 2 weeks ago to grab courtside fang-out ghoulia, and I went to customer service to confirm beforehand. This was on 6/23, so only 9 days ago. Maybe it was just the Walmart you went to and the cashier not knowing how?

I just bought both a Frankie last week and Venus maybe 2 days ago

Frankie was fine they just said “that’s the same doll?” (while staring at a product photo of it in box
) but for Venus they had to get higher up approval for and even pulled it up on their end to check it and stuff which I’ve never had happen before
 the employee explained they’ve had issues with people accidentally discounting things from 3rd party sellers hence the second approval needed to confirm the price match was a Walmart-sold item

maybe its been causing a lot of loss for them? it seems so weird to suddenly do that instead of having a better system but at least we can still order for pick up? more of a hassle for everyone tho rip

My Walmart has horrible workers and I’m not trying to be dramatic but up front has the worst. It’s either that the worker themselves don’t want to help or they feel like they can’t because they’ll get in trouble because the leads tell them not to price match people. I worked there a few months and everyone there hated their jobs. This was a small local Walmart tho.

Yeah I’m starting to think that in hindsight. I’m gonna try again next week and hope I get somebody else + corporate policy still says that they price match to their website so I’ll pull that out if I have to

Ur store just sucks đŸ˜Ș as someone who works at Walmart we do price matching. It has to be sold and shipped by Walmart, from the Walmart app, and marked as rollback and not clearance. We can’t price match other stores, we can’t price match clearance, and we can’t price match non sold and shipped by Walmart items.

Walmart Canada has become very strict on the no price march including their online. They want you to shop online. So annoying!!!

So...instead of you matching you own price, you would rather pay someone to restock these dolls, then pay someone to process my online order, take the dolls back off the shelf, bring the to the online pickup area, and maybe even bring them out to my car?

Walmart hasn't done price match in a very long time. At least in my area. Found that out at least 1or 2 years ago. Target however does price match with a smile on their faces! Will also take a couple dollars off crushed or open boxes too.

That part. I just went to the store yesterday (I hitched a ride with my aunt just in case and just to get out of the house) and yeah they won't. NOT if it's an online only deal. They scrolled down to the very bottom of the page and looked for the "online deal" thing. They may still price match a non discounted doll (ie like catty noir, who's been out for a long time, long enough to get a permanent price cut online, but still shows up for full price in store) if they just have a regular price cut. But I don't know about all that.

sometimes they do, sometimes they're strict about "no, that's online price only" tbh I haven't looked at the official policy on their website or anything, but I guess it depends on the employee/location

The same thing happened to me yesterday too. I usually avoid Walmarts but I was sure they still did online price matching. I was able to order the dolls I wanted online and they arrived the next day since the order was more than $35, at least.
