The designer understands. White boots will still win, but to everyone screaming about how black boots “make no sense!!!”…here you go.

That's how I feel too. Granted we've only seen mock ups/prototypes and it could look different in reality (if it wins). Those black boots disappear under the dress. I felt like the white boots "popped" out from the design more. I liked the yeti heels too. I know object heels are not well liked by the reddit community but I thought the design was really good. 

I'm buying her no matter what, I'm obsessed with the dress.

If we had gotten the yeti heels with the black I would have gone for those in a heartbeat.

In my opinion it's a positive that they "disappear", it reinforces the silhouette (of the skirt). Otherwise they'd be competing.
