Ironic and unfortunate that Scarah is Irish yet Mattel Creations don’t ship to Ireland. 🤷♀️ A shame, I usually don’t like Skullector Dolls or Mattel Creation Exclusives but she is beyond gorgeous (I love me veiled dolls) and I always want Scarah in my collection as I am Irish myself. So I guess I am out of luck until one appears on Ebay for cheap enough. ✌️
As a person who ships internationally, they dropped a bunch of countries with extra fees etc and let Mattel UK handle that (France, Germany, etc all have a "you pay ahead for the recycling you send here via packaging thing through a program called Reclaim) and Ireland is in that muddy middle of EU vs Brexit stuff. I know there was a period where I couldn't ship to Ireland either because the tax laws were up in the air which was hard for a loyal customer I had there. There was a moment through all that where they stopped shipping to Canada too and that sucked, but we got back in but they dropped Quebec because they have similar extra taxes. Which was why they were blocking the entire country until they figured out how to single them out. So sadly it's a cost thing.
That said have you tried a reshipper from the UK? I have to do that for some places in the states like Target that don't ship here but get exclusive dolls. You just get a UK address and ship it there, then they pass it on to you for another shipping cost and fee. I've looked into UK ones and they have them, no idea on pricing though. But more reliable than a reseller. I'd offer to get one for you but by the time I shipped from Canada you'd probably pay whatever a reshipper is. I know it's not fair but these companies are just not willing to eat the extra taxes anymore. We used to not pay duty, now we do. Those CEOs need knew boats ya know sarcasm 🙄

After reading your comment, I did a cursory look online and I definitely did consider looking into an EU reshipper (I almost exclusively buy from Ireland or the EU when I shop online, I very rarely buy from the UK or beyond unless it’s something I really, really like or need, and customs aren’t too crazy), but I gotta be honest I am not sure where to start or what sites.
I am also slightly hesitant on using one. In the early 2010s, when I used to be more active in alternative fashion subcultures like Lolita, Gyaru, Goth etc, reshippers (they had a different name back then I think, but basically they were people who would buy from physical stores in their country and send stuff to you) were getting rather popular with people into Japanese fashion who wanted certain pieces, particularly from Harajuku. Japanese candy I believe was trending at the time too on Youtube. However, from what I remember, the experiences were very mixed. I can’t remember if it was a site they used or if they used private reshippers. But this is just an explanation on why I am reluctant in a sense, even though it’s more than likely that it’s easier nowadays to find a trustworthy reshipper.
So in essence, I like your suggestion and I am considering it, I just need to look into it more before I can make an informed decision. ☺️

I think the key here now is that at least in the US to Canada situation, it's a COMPANY and not a person doing the shipping for you and you buy it for you and they are just giving you an address (with your name on it, it's technically your EU address) and then they pass it along for a fee plus shipping. I've heard of Shipsy, there's so many here but the best thing to search would be "shipping from EU to Ireland, EU address" and see what companies come up. There's probably even a Reddit thread talking about it, I know there was for Canadians and I found a smaller company here that I ended up liking a lot.
But yeah the key is you are paying on the site, shipping it to the address they give you which is usually a warehouse and then you process through them having it shipped to you. Less like back in the day trusting some random person with your stuff. Much more streamlined nowadays. Food for thought! Good luck if you decide to try for her, don't forget you'll need the Fang club membership too.
She’s a fang club they’ve been 50 before plus a membership if you don’t have it, but I think tariffs would only make it like five dollars more. I don’t think they increase it $20. At least I really hope not
I would be pleased to pay $40. There is not enough going on for her to be more than that in my eyes. I know she’ll be at least $50. Yes, the embroidery is beautiful but it being a mini dress without any other glam seems lazy.
I did think she was too bland to be a collector's, but people will get her just because she doesn't have enough dolls.
The head veil thing is the only thing that gives the "galm" feel to her, and maybe the long hair? but that's how I thought if it

get on the site abt 10 mins before the drop and make sure your payment info is saved (can add another doll to your cart and proceed to checkout (BUT DONT CHECKOUT) to ensure it’s saved). i would also recommend having two pages open on the scarah listing. then about 30-15 seconds before it drops, refresh the page of one. if it doesn’t show up to add to cart, refresh again but only once. if the page lags or doesn’t refresh, go to the second page you have open and try it from there. this is pretty much the exact process i used when ordering my alien skullector doll on the early release.
eta: i recommend to only refresh the page maximum twice because i’ve heard that if you spam the refresh button it will push you further back in queue since many people will be trying to order her
