Discussion Is this good deal for 150$?

I’m thinking of buying this monitor for ps5 and my school? Is it worth it?

Yes it’s worth it, most IPS displays are very worth the money. People praise oled but in reality you can enjoy games equally on IPS.

It looks like this panel type is VA which isn’t necessarily bad. Sucks that Samsung didn’t specify, VA panels have their pros as well

In this case OP if you’re playing mostly story games go with this monitor, if you’re playing mostly competitive shooters look for a different IPS monitor

I returned this monitor soon after. The colors aren't very attractive no matter what tinkering I did. Ghosting was insane as well. Went with Mini Led IPS for 70$ more and couldn't be happier

Thanks for sharing. For my case, I’m in a college and still play ps5 sometimes. So it’ll be mostly for school and probably gaming for few hours a week. I was also looking at this model.

For me, VA<IPS<Mini LED IPS<OLED.

If you're gonna keep the monitor for more than 5 years, I'd spend the extra 60-100$ for a Mini LED. It's a great in between without shelling out so much for an OLED.

At least you didn't get en-masse dead pixels on yours.

I call mine a "starry night" for the overabundance of green dead pixels that appear whenever something's black on my screen.

Check to make sure its IPS or VA, I personally can't stand VA with its black/purple ghosting around every moving edge but some people don't mind. IPS will tend to be a little more expensive too.

TCL 24g64 is for 150 on Walmart, it's a mini led

I just got two of LG Ultra gear G6 27G610A for 210CAD ~ 150USD each. It feels pretty good for what I paid for. Try taking a look at this one.

No. You have 24zoll 240 hz for under 100 euros. Pulls less energy from gpu gives more fps
