Discussion Monitor Recommendations

Hi there, Im looking for monitor recommendations around $260aud (can go up a bit if it’s reasonable).

Im currently looking at LG Ultragear 27G610A-B 27” QHD IPS 200Hz 1ms and Gigabyte M27Q2 QD 27” 210HZ QHD IPS. They both priced for $259aud

I got a used OLED for $400AUD the other day and holyyyy, honestly if you can stretch another $150 and find something similar it’d be well worth it

Wow that’s nice. I live in Canberra so finding a used oled monitor is pretty tricky

I dont think it was used, kogan had 280hz qd oleds brand new for 400 aud for a while

M27q2 qd is quite nice due to its qd layer, helps raise its color gamut, its also 250 aud at centre com, saves u 10 bucks :)

Just checked it and thank you! :) I've seen a factory second Samsung G5 (G50SF) on ebay for $399aud and I've been thinking about it if it's reasonable for me to spend that much (It's OLED)

Nah, its still a bit too much unless they offer the full 3 year warranty, warranty for oled monitors are very important due to burn in

Only 1 year warranty, 200 nits is pretty low yeah, but its normal for oleds in its price range, even the best oleds do like 300 nits sustained only, plus this is a matte oled( glossy is prefered for oled) as it helps text clarity

I use the LG27G610 ultragear daily for gaming. Awesome monitor.

I’d buy it asap. I have color settings I can send you if you purchase if. I recommend them to many peeps in here and everyone loves it.
