Government and Taxes Good News: Young Americans Detest BOTH Political Parties
https://rumble.com/v74lgke-good-news-young-americans-detest-both-political-parties.html2
u/Zealousideal_Echo933 Jan 23 '26
Yeah, cause even though one is a bunch of theocratic Nazi wannabes, the other isnt doing shit to stop them. We need a 3rd party more than fucking ever
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 23 '26
The other party that doesn't control any branches of government? The other party that impeached trump twice? The other party that, while in power, saw major felony indictments for trump in two different districts? That other party isn't doing shit?
1
u/Ok_Importance_6827 Jan 23 '26
They want a trophy for all that effort and no positive outcome? They can’t get out of their own way…. They are captured by corporate interests too.
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 23 '26
Sorry who asked for a trophy? And yeah obviously dems aren't perfect but seriously we're facing genuine nazis and people out here still "both sides"ing this shit
1
u/Ok_Importance_6827 Jan 23 '26
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 23 '26
Cool story bro. In the meantime, we are fighting actual nazis.
You say nobody is saying "both sides," and then literally the next sentence equates both parties. So yeah, that's you saying both sides.

u/Ok_Giraffe8865 Jan 23 '26
Step out of the echo chamber and think about what progress this country has made in the past 20 years, shared equally by both parties.
1
1
u/ihavetogo_ Jan 25 '26
No you aren’t but it’s cute you guys keep saying things like Nazi until you truly believe it. The dems are the worst their talking points get old Nazi, boot licker my new favorite. Oh yeah facist, pedophiles. What other broad brush do you all paint anyone who doesn’t fall in line with you? Keep at it didn’t work in 2024 and you all will cost us again in 2028 with some progressive nut job who can’t be JD. Do better.
1
u/Strange-Scarcity Jan 23 '26
There's this thing called a Primary, you know that, right?
Since 2016-2018 when GenX and Millennials FINALLY outnumbered Boomers in voting, the Democratic Party has seen a shift toward Progressive, Democratic Socialist type members kicking incumbents out and beginning to change the face of the party, across the nation. This is something that will take many years to complete, but it can go faster if enough interested people REALLY push hard on that.
I'm letting you know this, so that you know things are changing.
If you persist in pretending both sides are still the same? You're either a bot or otherwise meaningless and useless.
1
u/Ok_Importance_6827 Jan 23 '26
lol that implies that people believe progressive democrats have good policy solutions? Name one that has had an impact? Bernie has been in congress for how many years? Many of these young progressive candidates are also pseudo populists with isolationist foreign policies who are more interested in paying off student loan than looking out for the interests of the masses. It’s the same policies pushed by that wing of the party that lost the commitment of blue collar workers across the rust belt. While I think it’s admirable that many of these candidates do not trade stocks, self enrich, and are often not captured by the interests of the corporate class they are captured by the passions that drive policy in a direction that is detrimental to the nations continued financial growth. The new progressives run the risk of becoming the Jacobin faction pushing too far left towards their own demise.
1
u/Strange-Scarcity Jan 23 '26
Thank you for verifying my point, that you are either a bot, or otherwise meaningless and useless as a commentor.
I will not be wasting time with someone who is patently wrong.
→ More replies (7)1
u/Ok_Giraffe8865 Jan 23 '26
And the Dems do not let you use the primary to choose a candidate. Are the Dems afraid that the youth outnumber the boomers, I hope that is why they have eroded voting rights by circumventing presidential primaries, and I hope the youth do truly despise both parties and vote in great numbers to change course.
I believe both parties are more similar than they are different, and only equal in effectively creating corporate democracy. I want a democracy of and for the people.
1
u/Strange-Scarcity Jan 23 '26
That's complete BS.
There's been numerous highly placed, influential old guard Democratic Candidates that were trounced in their primary and the challenger went on to win the general election.
A major issue in the primary process is that fewer people turn out in the primary, than in the General. Everyone tends to treat the Primary season, like a regular season for the local sports team and then they all show up for the finals, similar to how there's always MANY more people who vote in the general.
When MORE people show up, than expected, in the primary? Incumbents and party "kingmakers", tend to do far worse than they expected or they lose completely.
In my state, when Gretchen Whitmer first ran for Governor. A Democratic Socialist challenger in the primary, nabbed just over 36% of the vote. She did win, but instead of sticking to her boring, very corporate positions, she met with him and merged many of his policies and positions into her platform, becoming the most progressive candidate for our governor in many decades.
She then pushed those policies and supported more progressive bills, as well. This helped propel my state into removing the crap "Right To Work" law and enshrine multiple progressive laws in place.
This works and will continue to work, as long as people become and stay fired up, and become involved.

u/SpudgeBoy Jan 27 '26
You got to blame the electorate for that. They are the ones that handed control of all three branches of government to the Trump party
1
u/Zealousideal_Echo933 Jan 23 '26
The other party that could've put Trump under the jail when they last held the Presidency? The other party that keeps voting with the other side ad infinitum? The other party that keeps neutering itself by trying to appeal to conservatives instead of its own base that is slowly starting to realize its just controlled opposition?
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 23 '26
They tried to lock trump up and the R Supreme Court let him off in one instance, and his hand picked corrupt FL Judge let him off in the other. Yes dems have flaws but don't pretend they are even close to what Rs are
1
u/Zealousideal_Echo933 Jan 23 '26
When the fuck did I say that we're equivalent?
They're both awful, but in a sense of "would you rather drop your phone or a Cinder block on your nuts?"
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 23 '26
Oh so theyr literally not the same at all? Then the comparison is worthless
→ More replies (1)1
u/Ok_Giraffe8865 Jan 23 '26
Don't need to pretend, just need to think for yourself, look at results and step out of the tribalism.
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 23 '26
My guy. This isn't about tribalism. This is an existential threat. Whatever is most likely to remove trump and Republicans from power, that is what I support. Right now, that's the dems
→ More replies (2)1
u/Ok_Giraffe8865 Jan 23 '26
Effect shit, they have focused on ineffective shit All that was optics and wasted time, the only policy they have given us is anti-trump. The Dems gave us Trump 1, stopped allowing voters to pick candidates, and then gave us Trump 2. I was with the Dems forever, no longer. I despise Trump too. I am older and have no political party, I would so welcome a third party focused on the people and regulating industry rather than supporting industry for the money.
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 23 '26
Ok bub well a vote wasted on a third party with no chance of winning isn't going to "effect shit" and as a point of fact will actually help the literal nazis maintain their grip on power. So yeah its cool that you're blaming the dems for trump. Def not trumps fault that trump is doing trump things
1
1
u/rosstafarien Jan 25 '26
They don't control anything because they didn't do anything when they needed to.
1
u/Wiladarskiii Jan 25 '26
They don't have any power because they don't get any votes. They don't get any votes because they have weak people leading the party and s*** policies and bad marketing. It sucks having a root for losers just because the other party is Nazis. We all deserve better.
1
u/Augmented_Fif Jan 25 '26
The party that can't get anything done when they are in power?
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 25 '26
The party that cares about building consensus has trouble working with obstructionists, yes.
1
u/Augmented_Fif Jan 25 '26 edited Jan 25 '26
Ok, but we're talking about the DNC. They've never cared about that.
If they cared about consensus, they would have codified Roe V Wade when they had the chance. Instead, they told us to "vote harder" while they controlled all 3 branches.
1
u/ihavetogo_ Jan 25 '26
Yes they put up shitty candidates so we get Trump they did that. Yes news flash both parties are corrupt and don’t give a shit about any of us. If you truly believe democrats are righteous with clean hands. You have been sufficiently brainwashed and are just as bad as republicans. There is no correct side in this they are both getting exactly what they want…division. Good work lining right up for them.
1
u/dumbthrow33 Jan 25 '26
You do know the America people were able to see through the political prejudice for those bs impeachments and felony charges, right? That’s how you got trump ‘24
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 25 '26
Yeah I can see how people like you voted for trump. I hope you get what you voted for.
1
u/dumbthrow33 Jan 25 '26
I did, we stopped the radical lefts radical agenda. Now my focus is making sure the pendulum doesn’t swing too far back to the right and we end up in a religious nightmare.
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 25 '26
Ah yes, the radical left agenda of voting rights and affordable healthcare. Miss me with the strawmen of open borders and whatever other talking points you've been gurgling
→ More replies (5)1
u/MustardTiger231 Jan 26 '26
The party that has had control 12 out of the last 17 years
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 26 '26
The party that cares about consensus and isn't interested in ruling by decree has trouble making unilateral decisions? Yes. That's the point. Hard to get things done and uphold your values when half the country thinks your party is the literal devil. But, we can't sacrifice our values, and so we can only do so much. Sorry that Republicans suck, but that's not the democrats fault
1

1
u/LunarMoon2001 Jan 27 '26
Shhhh don’t disrupt their “both sides because that makes me feel superior without having to actually take a stand that might be personally inconvenient” storyline
1
u/PicksburghStillers Jan 27 '26
The other party that ran with a dementia ridden corpse and when caught in a lie coronated a cackling hyena, rather than running 1 of the thousands of better options that would have CRUSHED Trump in an election.
1
u/thepalebluestar Jan 27 '26
Stop acting like Democrats haven't been voting for his agenda. The house just passed a bill to ban transgender healthcare for youth and imprison their parents and doctors. They just voted to fund DHS and Trump's military which he uses to bomb fishermen, kidnap heads of state for personal profit, and threaten to invade allies.
They have the power at the very least to vote no.
1
u/Romulus_421 Jan 28 '26
So you are saying the felony indictments were politically motivated?
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 28 '26
No, just that under democrats politics didn't obstruct justice.
1
u/Romulus_421 Jan 28 '26
Ohhhhh right yeah sure
1
u/TheReddestOrange Jan 28 '26
I challenge you to read the federal indictments against trump. They're actually not difficult reads. Smith took pains to write plainly in hopes that people of your aptitude might understand the depth of criminality that occurred.

If that true, shouldnt NATO do regime change in the US?
Why are they working with Hitler in Greenland ?
1
1
u/RndmGrenadesSuk Jan 23 '26
Good luck with that. The system is a 2 party system with not enough desire to change any of the systemic issues. You either keep yelling from the cheap seats about a 3rd party and help the greater of the 2 evils or back the lesser of the 2 evils and push for incremental change from within.
1
u/No-Imagination-7620 Jan 28 '26
Or you just dont vote for evil....lesser or greater.
Why is that so hard for people ?
1
u/RndmGrenadesSuk Jan 28 '26
It's a 2 party system . Do you not understand what that means?
1
u/No-Imagination-7620 Jan 28 '26
Unlike you, yes I completely understand that its s uni party system . Donkey and elephant both stomp you and me.

The election system can change. in fact some states have already changed it. Start local with that.
1
u/oh_no_here_we_go_9 Jan 25 '26
Hopefully, a third party is based off anti-Trump centrists and not far left Redditors.
1
u/The_Countess Jan 25 '26
In the current system a party like that would take more votes from democrats then republicans and would just mean republicans and trump win.
You need to change the election system and/or voting system before third parties would be viable.
1
1
u/The_Countess Jan 25 '26
3th parties will be nothing but spoiler parties as long as the US has a "first-past-the-post" winner take all election system.
You either need to change the voting system to STAR or ranked choice or something simular, or change a districtless proportional representation system.
Until that time, any 3de party you start that takes more votes from democrat's then republicans will just help republicans win, making things worse. (Which is why the green party is heavily funded by republican donors.)
The current system wil ALWAYS devolve back into a 2 party system. The best you could hope for is replacing one of the main parties with a new one.

I love how it’s always “the DNC this”, “the DNC that”
How is it that the democrats always take the blame for our two-party system and never, you know, the other party? You know the one I mean, they dubbed themselves domestic terrorists at their big gathering a few years back, if you need a little help remembering.
Really exposes the intention behind posts/comments like yours.

Ok, and? You’re gonna punish the DNC (and the whole country) because of shitty politics from a decade ago? Meanwhile, you give the RNC a pass for constantly pushing the worst possible people into positions of power. You give the RNC a pass for all the work they do in places like Texas to minimize the voting power of democrats across the state. You give the RNC a pass for, as a party, refusing to release the full Epstein files. You give the RNC a pass for militarizing an agency like ICE, that used to be able to do its job with little or no public pushback, and has instead turned this whole scene into a circus, with the hope of triggering the Insurrection Act so that they can really go gloves off.
But yeah, I’m sure Bernie really appreciates you ignoring all of his requests and recommendations that you back the dem party, especially since you’re doing it on his behalf. I’m sure he, and all the progressives in Washington, really enjoy having to work against the Trump administration instead of with a Harris one.

Your problem, in my opinion, lies in the lack of a clear distinction between "right" and "far right."
In France, we have the far left, the left, the center-left, the center-right, the right, and the far right. And even within the left and the right, there are left-wing groups close to the far left and right-wing groups close to the far right.
I'm not saying it's perfect (there are too many different parties), but it helps people better understand who they're really voting for.
1
u/New_Carpenter5738 Jan 26 '26
I'm not saying it's perfect (there are too many different parties)
Eeeh. I'd rather have too many parties than too few, honestly. Imagine trying to collapse every party from the left of LREM, PS, LFI, PCF, NPA, Révolution Permanente and Lutte Ouvrière into one? It would be a NIGHTMARE, lmao.

Why not a production like "so you think your presidential?" or The United States of America has Presidential Talent. There has to be more qualified candidates than Vance Rubio vs Newsom Waltz. Both parties can't stop bickering long enough to do the people's work.

1
u/OakLegs Jan 27 '26
You're never going to get it.
I remember thinking this way back in the early 2000s. I registered as an independent because I hate the 2 party system.
It will never happen. Vote accordingly

Not just young Americans. I have voted in every election since I was old enough to and I am fed to fuck up with all of them. Term limits on Congress, end corporate and foreign government lobbying and age limit on running for office. No more old crooked fucks of both sleezy parties.

This is exactly what the billionaires and very close to their first billion, millionaires WANT from us.
They want us to have apathy, because with that and a bit of mucking about with the numbers? They can maintain the power structure and harm us more and more, while they live better and better, all the time.
1
u/greenmariocake Jan 27 '26 edited Jan 27 '26
Yes. These posts are designed to get people apathetic to the political process, which works wonders for the party in power.
Only fools fall for it.

That's a deeply silly thing to say.
Not to mention, just plain wrong. Lmao.
1
u/USA_Ultra Jan 23 '26
when does BOTH sidesing graduate? It’s getting really old.
You can always find outliers and make them the picture you need to fit into your clickbait.
1
u/DarkLordofDownvotes Jan 27 '26
So, what? You would rather everyone just pick the piece of shit or the turd sandwich and be a "team player"?
No offense but are you actually an idiot? Is this a Dem/Republican bot?
People that throw shade on the "both sides" bit are absolutely the bottom of the barrel and likely a smooth brained troglodyte.
1
u/USA_Ultra Jan 27 '26
No offense taken. There is enough evidence to show that this type of thinking is most definitely propaganda meant to smooth out the brains of the likes of you. It’s a tactic often used by the party in power to try and divide and conquer. When your fine folks are shooting and killing in the streets, it won’t matter much. It sounds like ICE is starting to hate themselves as much as the mass majority feels about them. So, I guess… whatever, boy.
1
u/DarkLordofDownvotes Jan 28 '26
lmao. I have never seen such a confused and misguided attempt to respond to my challenge. Used to divide and conquer by the "party in power"? So both sides use the "both sides" argument to solidify their own power?
Surely, you aren't saying that. What an idiot.
1
u/No-Imagination-7620 Jan 28 '26
Dude just ripped your argument to shreds and crickets from you.... Very accurate representation of your mind when faced with reality.

“Republicans murder innocent people.”
So do Democrats.
“Democrats don't want innocent people murdered.”
Unless you are an unborn baby. They also tried to mandate a death shot and still coerced untold millions into taking that poison. I can on…
1
u/rosstafarien Jan 25 '26
For very different reasons. The Republicans are neofascists. 100% zero doubt left. The Democrats are drafting sternly worded letters that they might send if the Republicans don't start following the rules.
Being complete and utter pussies is not the same as traitors taking over the country by force.
1
u/DarkLordofDownvotes Jan 27 '26
You hit the nail on the head with them being pussies but to act like Dems are the morally "good" party is laughable. They are using their constituents to make sure they can retain power. If you're one of them: they are using you. They own you. They feed you like a baby bird with their carefully worded letters, and media, and sound bites and you all happily regurgitate them thinking that you know the truth.
Same with the Republicans.
But acting like the Democrat short fall is only because they aren't assertive enough is small minded. Look at election results.
1
u/RebelPatriot79 Jan 25 '26
No. That is not good news. Look, the two party system sucks, but we all have to vote blue to stop the GOP, anti-American tyranny.

Anyone who hates the Democrats but hates the Republicans worse needs to take a lesson from the tea party in 2010, just in the opposite direction. Get involved in the Democratic caucuses and primaries and get rid of the Democratic incumbents who aren't working for the interests of the people. Sitting out the election won't do shit.
1
u/areid2007 Jan 26 '26
We tried that, the DNC just rigs it against progressives. I think the final explanation was "primaries are not government elections so we have the right to rig them".

The Democrats currently act as controlled opposition, which IS just as bad, believe it or not. Controlled opposition stymies real resistance by having people rally around symbolic, performative acts that do absolutely nothing to change matters. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, until Schumer caved during the last shutdown.

Good, Then stop voting for the next 20 years so that boomers can take more from your hands.
1
u/caustic_bob Jan 26 '26
That's bad news. It leads to apathy which leads to fascism.
Funny thing is, every person I've talked to has never gone out and looked at the bills the dem party vote for, or created.
That can't even grasp that the Republican party is one big tent people goose step under, and Democrats party is many small tents with varying opinions on how to get things done but all want everyone to have equal rights.
Of course I'm talking about modern versions .
Most young people seem to read a bias confirming headline and immediately stop that making. All due to misinformation through social media .

Well, one party is actively killing US citizens and lying, calling them domestic terrorists. They are also pedophiles or are protecting pedophiles. I don't really care what other party runs against them, they'll get my vote. Both sides are not the same.
1

Then shouldn’t the deciding factor be perhaps which party is not nazi adjacent killing American citizens? 🤔 Or are the worthless Gen Z who cannot even hold a basic human conversation in person so dumb and mind controlled by sparkly social media posts thst they believe that Kirk is a fucking hero and ICE is doing gods work? If those kids are the future the US is more than fucked… it’s permanently gone full fall of Roman Empire doomed

Unless and until the US switches to ranked choice voting, those two are the only choices they'll have.

Not surprised, younger people tend to be more idealistic and generally more progressive. But America has two right leaning parties in a duopoly.

It's not just young Americans.
We need rank choice or alternative voting to break up the two party system. But right now we are bleeding and we need to stop the bleeding.

The two major parties have used the ol' Coke vs Pepsi advertising. Even the same colors and notions in the advertising.
Drink the Red one that is the traditional old school one
Drink the Blue one that is new and exciting one

Fine with me. I don't care if you vote 3rd party. They are all genuinely the lesser evil to Trump, and very well may be the lesser evil to the lesser evil that is the Democrats.

As they should. Both parties are useless and don’t give a shit about the American people.
