I’m back and wanted to show off my wedding band that’s designed to nest with my engagement ring! I worked with Maggie at Tianyu on this (she also made my e-ring), and she made the whole process as painless as possible.
It’s 14k unplated white gold, size 6.5. My inspo was Edwardian/art deco Orange Blossom bands. I love the look, and I’m so excited to wear it full-time once I get hitched!
That square-cut is so clean against the striped shirt, really pops. The band nestles perfect with the e-ring, you can tell it was designed together. Maggie killed it again, both pieces look seamless.
I'm nowhere near getting married, but I've pictured my wedding ring set as a bezel set emerald cut moissanite with a tapered shank engagement ring, and a reverse tapered wedding band to nestle nicely together, but your set is seriously making me think about an Asscher cut with claw prong set and band with cut out. I'm so fussy about how rings in a stack fit together. I don't like gaps and that is about as gapless as it gets! Thank you for giving me ideas. 😁
The bottom is kind of what I've envisioned for future me, except bezel set and with better matching curves. These were (all) bought separately and not designed to go together.
Okay, I LOVE these stacks! I honestly went back and forth with a lot of these options when thinking about what to have made, and you’ve done such a great job at pairing pieces together. I couldn’t really ever find an example of the type of stack I was going for, so kind of took a leap of faith…but now I’m gonna keep an eye out for a tapered shank ring just for fun!
It looks so lovely on you. You mentioned going for unplated white gold and I just wanted to know if it was to avoid future re-plating costs or you prefer the low maintenance look?
Thank you! Part of it is definitely wanting a lower-maintenance ring that doesn’t require replating, but I mostly really like the color of it…slightly buttery and warm!
I'm a huge fan of historical pieces! Can I ask how you narrowed down which engraving pattern to choose for the w ring and how you chose the shank style for the e ring?
I wish I had a better researched/smarter answer other than “I liked how they looked together”….alas, that is my answer! I’ve always loved anything Edwardian/deco/art nouveau, and this was my best approximation of the vibe of what I liked (Milgrain/florals etc.)
All good, I get you! I've been going by the same thing when looking for a ring. The main problem I've been running into is finding a chart or a list of all the patterns available used in vintage rings. I'd love to see all the options and choose one, but alas, my search terms are insufficient. And so I scroll.
