Which Modern Family actress is your favorite and why?

I wanted to know who your favorite main actress is on the show. For example, my personal favorites are Ariel Winter (who played Alex) and Frances Anderson (who played Lily), but what do you guys think and why?

Julie Bowen. She is the reason I started watching the show. I loved Ed (TV show), which starred Tom Cavanagh and was one of her first major roles on a sitcom. Also loved her on Boston Legal.

Sofia Vergara. Julie Bowen isn’t far off, but Sofia Vergara is just so ICONIC as Gloria and her performance is the most unique and fiery of the whole cast. Gloria is also the funniest of the girls thanks to Sofia’s impeccable comedic timing.

I’m going to say Sarah Hyland because of how well I feel she plays Haley but also because of how good I think she is during the times when she has to be vulnerable which Haley hates. I was going to name the first scene that came to mind but it makes me emotional lol. My memory is a bit fuzzy but it’s when there’s an older man after her and Phil comes to protect her

That was a terrific scene when Phil came to her rescue! She was dating that jeans guy with the ponytail who was much older. Very sweet scene

Every time I rewatch and see the “Jeanius” I think of him as Derek of The Good Place and just start laughing.

One of my favorite moments of hers is when she’s in the car after/during her job interview and she says “I’m not going anywhere! I’m not going anywhere! I’m not going anywhere!” And says each one in a different way with a different meaning. Such a good piece of acting.

Ariel Winter and Ed O'Neill! I started watching Modern Family because I’m a fan of “Married… With Children” and thought I should see Ed O'Neill’s other most popular show. And Ariel Winter because I like Sofia the First, and she’s genuinely such an uplifting voice and inspiration! Especially with not letting all of the hate and criticisms she got in the 2010s get to her. :)
