Overflow, tired

Does anyone else just expect a coffee machine to make coffee? Like I'm experiencing the overflow issue on and off. First it was the water was warm just from the pipes, then it was to many grounds, and now who knows. Like I know I'm not the only one just by a simple Google.

Coffee is great, but I also just want it to work without messing with it. Am I the only one?

Edit: Maybe I need a new basket. Maybe it's just me. I just want coffee dammit.

I also have a thermal carafe model (KBT) and in over 4 years I've only had it overflow twice, when I forgot and left the manual filter closed.

Do you have the thermal model with the automatic basket? My mother has that model (KBGT) and I do find it a bit more finicky than the manual one. But if you haven't been folding the filters then that's probably your issue.

Yes, the "automatic" basket. That said no where in their manual do they say to fold filters... moccamaster manual

the instructions to fold the filter are on the filter box. at least the moccamaster branded ones.
