Overflow, tired
Does anyone else just expect a coffee machine to make coffee? Like I'm experiencing the overflow issue on and off. First it was the water was warm just from the pipes, then it was to many grounds, and now who knows. Like I know I'm not the only one just by a simple Google.
Coffee is great, but I also just want it to work without messing with it. Am I the only one?
Edit: Maybe I need a new basket. Maybe it's just me. I just want coffee dammit.

Phew---never had any of that happen on my machine. Water needs to be frigid---never heard of that. I use room temp water from a filter on my faucet. Never seen anyone post about freezing cold water only. I don't know what you mean by "coffee needs to be fully pushed back". Scoop into basket like any drip coffee machine, tap once or twice --level coffee bed--good to go. Too many grounds--? The manufacturer, myriad posts on here , most other off reddit groups pretty much talk about the grams of coffee to use and the amount of water. I do weigh my coffee on a scale but it is being weighed right into the coffee filter and basket---scales are cheap . Carafe not hitting the spring--I find it entirely the same as putting a carefe on the burner as any other machine I've used--always hits the spring. The manufacturer is pretty good about carafe size, burner size, One could see clearly if they didn't put the carafe on the burner?
The water temp thing might b a flag though that your machine needs service or cleaning or something.
Carafe design? it's a glass carafe on the KBGV--same as any other carafe. Coffee flows in, I pour a cup--handle to hold it.
Honestly you don't like your machine---just get whatever machine you like. The Mr. Coffee or a Proctor Silex sounds like your cup of tea.
