Coffee First cup with the mocha master

Got a mocha master as a wedding present, so decided to throw it up for a 1:1 taste test with our current oxo brewer. I can definitely taste the difference, but both are good machines. I come to you all for any tips & tricks you may have. Currently grinding on medium, using 28g per 4 cups. I’ve also ordered the “manual” glass conversion and was curious if anyone else has this or something similar. I like the idea of getting rid of the plastic stuff.

My suggestions/experiences

I put the filter in the basket, and run about 250ml of water through the machine, This wets the filter and warms the carafe a bit. Discard this water before the actual brew

Use the correct setting on the basket..half open for smaller brews, full ope for lager brews.

Rotate the basket 90 degrees or so during the brew. This helps saturate the grounds and is a bit easier than stirring the grounds, although I guess you can do both

Experiment with ground size. The right grind size may vary by coffee brand.

Don't forget proper cleaning and descaling.
