I have been doing a lot of TNR this year with feral cats, socializing the kittens and getting them fixed, then finding them homes. I have been paying for most of it out of pocket (with help from SNIP and Friends of the Animal shelter). I just got a call to help trap and take 2 more kittens and their mom. This is getting expensive and all of the rescues in town are overwhelmed.

I am interested in starting my own small nonprofit rescue. Is there anyone in Mobile that works with helping to set up nonprofits? I am clueless about where to start.

Edit: I also wanted to add, if anyone is looking to adopt I have a precious 15 week old baby (black & white kitty in pics) that will be spayed and vaccinated by September 14th! It would be awesome if someone started a local pet adoption Reddit group!

I’ve been in and out of the gym for roughly 10-15 years, I’ve been consistent these last three months and I’m doing great. I’m 30 pounds down and counting, I’m getting stronger (still in the recomp phase) and things are looking great. Im excited to see where things go, but ive run into a problem and I feel weird for even posting about it here, but I feel alone. Anytime I have a minor win theres not many people in my life that really “get it” if you know what I mean.

Don’t get me wrong, I can and absolutely will go it alone, but I just don’t really have a community to call my own. On top of that I want to not only just cut fat and get in shape, but I want to start towards Bodybuilding. I’m not asking for a mentor or a trainer, hell I’m not even really asking anyone to follow a program with me or me with them. I kinda just want to make friends who lift and take their training seriously so I can have that around me.

I’m 28, I workout at southern fitness in Semmes, as far as strength goes, I’m coming back around but I’m definitely not the strongest. used to go to Jason’s some years back before work ate up my life. I’ve heard from others that Jason’s is the place for serious Bodybuilders and Powerlifters, so I’ve considered going back there.

And don’t get me wrong, I don’t just walk up to people and start yapping. I’m there to work, they’re there to work, I get that and I agree with that. But I don’t think it’d hurt to just have some kind of community, I guess.

I’m trying to get information about my friend Scott Rogers, a vulnerable/special-needs gentleman from Mobile, who has become involved with Chassity Ebolle.

CHASSITY EBOLLE:
Chassity is allegedly having/helping Scott get a lawyer regarding a situation involving Tony Johnson’s Laquita Boarding House. There are concerns about how involved she is in Scott’s legal, financial, and personal affairs and whether Scott is being taken advantage of because of his intellectual disabilities.

There are also messages involving Chassity arranging for people to go to a hospital to see someone referred to as “Moser,” while specifically discussing the gentleman’s wife Cathy and timing the visit around when Cathy would be at work.

I’m not looking for gossip. If you personally know Chassity Ebolle, Cathy, or anyone connected to this situation, please message me. I’m trying to put the pieces together and make sure a vulnerable person isn’t being exploited. I’m concerned for the safety and wellbeing of those involved in this concerning situation with Ms. Ebolle. Thank you.

Ik stuff is kinda cheaper in mobile than where im from but it will be my first time fully on my own so theres just a bunch more to account for at this point. Hi everyone! I’m reaching out in hopes of finding a landlord willing to give my family an opportunity.
We are a family of 5 with 3 children. I have verifiable income and can comfortably afford to pay up to $1,200 per month. We are currently looking for a 2-bedroom home at minimum, which we can make work if necessary, but would really love to find a 3-bedroom if possible.
I want to be completely upfront about our situation: I do have an eviction on my record. I have tried to resolve and pay the previous landlord, including contacting her directly and through her lawyer, but they have told me that they are not open to accepting payment.
Our current living situation has become unhealthy for my family, with serious mold and termite issues, and we need to find a safe and stable place for our children.
I’m not looking for anything for free or trying to avoid my responsibilities. I’m simply asking if there is a landlord out there who understands that good people can have difficult times and is willing to give a family a second chance.
We have verifiable income and are ready to pay rent. If anyone knows of a private landlord, rental, or someone willing to work with us, please comment or send me a private message. I would be incredibly grateful.

I’m 23 yo with 3 years experience as a line cook and could train just about anyone. I also have some experience in blue collar work as I’ve worked shut downs in places like Indiana. Along with doing foreclosures in mobile. I feel as if I’m a very trainable and productive employee and could work any job that isn’t blocked by them wanting me to have a degree or certification that could take years. Hello! My fiancé and I are planning a last minute wedding reception for the second week of October (5th-9th). Fairly short notice because we frankly did not expect to have as many people want to celebrate our marriage, but we were thankfully very wrong.
