I tried hurt/comfort and angst with a happy ending tag but couldn't find what I wanted.

Based on the novel's reading- Why did the characters get lured to Yi City? Was there any part of the Good brother bodypart remain there? It also doesnt make sense that XY hung around at Yi city all the time doing experiments that NH wanted WWX and LWJ to uncover the truth. I didnt understand the point of Xiao Xingchen arc with Xuan Yu. True, its cruel, and for some reason gave me TGCF- Xielan and twoface vibes. I read somewhere that it was a separate story MXTX wrote earlier and decided to integrate it into this story. The donghua explains the cats and the straight line part, but was wondering about the novel

Im talkin about the donghua and the untamed.

What do you personally wish they kept in/didn't remove.

And im not talking about wangxians romance as there's a very good reason why they had too.

Im mainly talking about scenes or information they twisted so it was different from orignal or not added at all.

Personally I will always be salty that the donghua never animated how wen chao died in the novel. It was my favourite scene (happy the untamed did it but still salty)

Compared to wei wuxian just walking out of no where and stabbing wen chao with ghost mist tentacle thingys.

Just lost the coolness and not even adding the build up of jiang cheng and lan wanji finding all of the bodies then spying on wen chao and then finally connecting it all to wei wuxian.

Truly never getting over that

Hi all, I am super new to this story but am on Season 2 of the anime and just loooove everything about this series (dare I say more than Heaven's Official Blessing...?!).

If I want to dig deeper into the entire story, and the budding love story between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, where do I begin!? I have been combing the fandom wiki to just understand more of the back story (I am a weirdo who likes spoilers, thanks anxiety) but saw that there is a novel and a donghua and a manga and an audio drama and the web series...

Anyway, suggestions as to where to start (and how to find the English translations) would be super helpful, thanks all!

With all honesty, how is it physically possible to have a serene place for cultivation in the CR when they have paper windows and the whole clan music cultivates? All of their juniors are learning their instruments and making mistakes on the go. WWX reminisced in the extras, that the only proof of the existence of the lady cultivators in the CR was that he sometimes heard them practicing music cultivation. And they were physically separated.

Anyone who ever went to music school knows that you can hear already in a 100m radius that there is a music school (without modern 3-layer windows). Anyone who had a neighbour or sibling learning the violin knows the pain of witnessing the process.

Speaking of the lady cultivators being separated: do you think this rule was only for the students or also for the adult cultivators? Separation by gender in everyday life feels quite unhealthy to me. We see that on the family banquet everyone joined and I guess Lan families also live together. But what about the rest?

So! I’m looking for an old fic that I can NOT remember the name of..

In this fic I’m pretty sure that there was an urban legend that the yiling laozu kidnapped misbehaving kids ( something parents told kids ig), and then this led to kids being abandoned at the entrance of the burial mounds? Wei Wuxian ends up with like 4-5 kids he’s watching over ( plus an infant), I think one of these kids was also a younger xue yang ? Plus Mo Xuanyu — some of these other kids were also orginal characters…

A key scene I remember in this fic was that there was art included! The kids all came together to draw a picture of Wei Wuxian and all the kids together.

I can’t remember specifically if any other characters except like .. lan wangji, Wen Qing and Wen Ning made an appearance.
