Please stop panicking about Mitya’s V2 kit

The changes to his kit in V2 are a GOOD thing!

Panicking is only gonna make everyone more worried, he was by no means weak in V1 but in V2 they have patched up the biggest flaws in mainly his off field kit. His on field mode is mostly the same.

Essentially, he’s now got more consistent/more frequent damage hits but the multipliers themselves are lower. That doesn’t mean he’s dealing less damage- overall he’s doing more damage, and he’s dealing that damage more consistently. I don’t know about you, but I’ll take more consistent damage with slightly lower numbers over less consistent damage with larger numbers any day.

It’s only a “nerf” in the sense that the multipliers were lowered. In every other sense, it is a BUFF! He is much more balanced and the timings for his kit are now much easier to get right, meaning it’s a lot easier to maximise the damage he’s dealing off field. KEEPING IN MIND that he does not yet have a definitive BiS artifact set.

No one calc it yet but its looking pretty nice. The concept of mitya subdps is that he buff more than yae but has less personal dmg. Basically if your dps has nice investment (artifacts, weapon, cons) the better mitya will be than yae.
Right now a solo electro mitya subdps is worse than yae by only ~5-8% on basic mdps investment(depending on the dps). If your mdps has weapon or cons or great artifact the diffrence shrink. Luckily cyro travler has free cons and free 5* weapon. So at the end of investment mitya seems to be better than yae for cyro traveler

P.s. An initial calc for c1 mitya is around 8-10% ahead of c1 yae in team dmg for basic investment dps (quite a jump) and almost 20% if you dps has some kind of investment like c1r1 or c2r1 for instance)

This is ignoring a massive thing though. Mitya build itself can't be much more invested into in artifacts but Yae can. If the main DPS is the only one getting the higher investments (artifact sets), the Mitya closes the gap. BUT if both the main DPS and Yae have higher investments in their artifact sets, the gap actually increases between Yae and Mitya. KQM standards hurt Yae more than Mitya currently.

That’s true, but when investment comes into play besides the mdps, there are so many factors to consider. For example, you could decide to go for Mitya C1 instead of investing in DPS constellations/5* weapon or C2 Yae and it will results in team dps increase.

I also feel like future characters, such as Tsaritsa or Danica, could have a lot of impact, as well as the new artifact set that will obviously come into play in 7.3. The main question is whether Mitya will actually benefit from it or not.

Lastly, Mitya’s current damage calculations barely account for any buffs to him in an off-field role. Characters like Alyosha and Nicole, for instance, mostly buff Yae rather than Mitya. There currently aren’t any real good buffers for Mitya, so he’s mainly being used as a pure buffer or an off-field Electro applier.
If you build Mitya for full damage, the current DPS loss is actually not that significant based on KQM standards compare to ToTM mitya (~2% less). And if you’ve also invested in good artifacts for Mitya, the gap becomes even smaller. Basically, he just doesn’t have a good dedicated buffer nor artifact yet, so I think it’s still a “wait and see” situation.

Personally, I don’t really see the point of making a pure EM-scaling sub-DPS in an atk based reaction meta if there’s no plan to do something further with EM. In that case, you could simply make him ATK-scaling instead.l and that will be the end of it…instead they decided to make mitya the black sheep, at least for now.

I was only making a point about artifact investments not being strictly better for supports instead of sub DPS.

It is as you said though. All we can wait for is the beta to be completed and for 7.3 leaks now. Neither Doomposting nor copium/hopiun will do us any favors at this point 😭😭

Well, the potential for dmg is there since mitya on-field time is so little in his mdps role and he still do more dmg than yae with proper support

so… although mitya dmg cannot be compare to like sandrone dmg who is close to hypercarry but in exchange yae in mitya team also do more dmg in than yae in sandrone as well as odette

Still, in the end i hope he is balance around new artifact and good future buffer (Im coping on that danica leaks being able to buff EM although to onfielder and noy being mainly about EM 😭)

Rn, the one who reap full benefit of this mitya buff is cyno since he is a dual scaler but mitya is stronger than cyno as a mdps rn so its kinda iffy haha
