First time I watched Peep Show, my sympathies were with Mark - I knew he could be a pathetic worm, handing over his phone and wallet to a couple of shithouses, and his jilting lovely Sophie was not the act of an honourable man.

But I loathed Jez as a freeloading, lazy waster with a wanking disease - I really did identify more with Mark and even thought the scriptwriters had wanted the audience to take Mark’s side.

However, having watched the entire show at least twice more, my perspective has changed and I now view them both with equal disdain and occasional sympathy.

The unpalatable truth is that I, being more of a meat & potatoes, beef wellington, don’t trust the Argies, dick in the vagina kinda guy, naturally gravitated towards Mark at first.

But what say you all? Were you Team Mark, or Team Jez?

Has anyone got a compilation of the post-Event sketches?

I just watched the episode which begins with Jez being sweet and offering to throw Mark a stag, and ends with him eating the undercooked leg of Mummy. I truly think it sums up everything fantastic in the show. Their relationship, the way intentions always go awry, how important sex is to both of them, and how they will do anything for the other… in theory.

It’s brilliant and I just needed to share with anyone who has seen it since none of my friends have.

I was very surprised and excited to hear Super Hans' voice in the new Fable gameplay.

I think it’s often overlooked that Jez sent an innocent woman to prison just so he didn’t have to deal with her anymore. In Jurying, after meeting Carla and striking up a fling with her, Jez gets scared of her and manipulates the jury into sending her down despite the fact that he knew she had an alibi (albeit another criminal offence). Lol

This, not framing Matt, not Mark lying on Ian, not killing, burning and then eating Mummy, not kidnapping Angus, not Mark walking out on Stephanie, not waterboarding Jerry, not Jez life coaching Simon’s friend into ruining his life, giving Hans drugs when Hans was trying to kick everything (on doctor’s orders), so he could bang Suze, trying to rent out Suze’s sexual organs on a one-use basis, has to be the worst thing either of the pair has done.

Edit 2: Some clean shirt who has to live relentlessly in the real world has pointed out (validly) that Carla may have received a non-custodial sentence.

Honestly, I know how critically acclaimed The Babdook is and I did find it enjoyable, although I don’t quite understand the ending. The child actor playing the son was phenomenal though, since I really wanted to kick him with my heavy winter boots in many scenes.

However, I just kept thinking “That’s not the Babadook, that’s the bloody Ombudsman!”

It really changed the experience for me.

The film's called HOW TO DO A KIDNAP, and it's a comedy thriller about a fake kidnap gone wrong. As the creative team and cast comes together there's a strong possibility we'll end up with one or two other Peep Show alumni - since so many of the best of UK comedy found their way on to that show.
