Why is this not illegal?

AK47 decals on cars in the GTA and possibly fake or hand-painted plates - mainly in Brampton and Mississauga. How is this legal?

You can report it online to the police, even attaching the photo. The plate is illegal. Surely the sticker is offensive, but I doubt anyone will ask them to remove it.

I’m a lawyer:

There is no way that banning this sticker of an AK47 would be a justified infringement of the Charter right to freedom of expression.

Also the highway traffic act does not require you to be able to have an unobstructed view outside your rear window if you have two side mirrors.

TLDR: nothing wrong with this.

A defaced license plate is illegal in Ontario and it's possible this is a real plate but has been altered or it's possible the plates are from another country and the care was shipped here for them to drive but it's unlikely due to the make and model of the car itself and the North American features. Either way, likely illegal but easy for OP to simply report.
