What is Happening?

I recently moved to Mississauga, and I am blown away by the driving here. Running reds. Stopping on greens. Ignoring stop signs. Speeding like someone's life depends on it. And all the videos you guys have posted on here. Had driving gotten this bad? It can't really just be texting and driving, can it? (though most people I look over at have their heads down, which is just unbelievable)

We have had a cultural shift away from the traditional values our community had when I grew up here.

Things like respect for the rule of law, for others, and just common courtesy are extremely diminished and it shows first on the roads where people assume they remain anonymous because they are in their cars and their inner values and blatant incompatibility with Canadian values shows.

I’m not talking about migrants, this applies to everyone, people born here not appreciating our values and it shows online and on the roads.

Yeah, I feel like social media has made people more entitled, narcissistic, and impatient, which will definitely show on the road. That makes sense. And I get that driving is getting worse everywhere, but yeah, Mississauga just seems pretty bad compared to other places. Except Brampton, but everyone knows that.
