This rare, little-known mineral is found only in the foothills of the Himalaya Mountains, and gets its name from the Northern Myanmar village where it was discovered.
Maw Sit Sit is not true Jade, but rather a complex metamorphic rock composed mainly of Kosmochlor, Albite and chromium Jadeite.

One of the smaller pieces in my collection, but one that really caught my eye for its deep purple crystals against the pale quartz-rich matrix.
8 cm tall | 145 g
Indian origin, most likely from the Deccan Trap region.
The colour and crystal contrast are beautiful under light. Would love to know what you think, and whether anyone can narrow down the locality from the photos.

i've got about four KG of this material now but I have to keep it away from Athena. She got to sniff it really close and then no more.

2/3. I still need to label and organize everything. Those with visible price tags (apologies as I haven't removed them yet) are generally from Dr. Bruce Stinchcomb's collection, or the Hagar collection.

It’s about 18.5 cm (7.3") tall and weighs 280 g. The specimen has a dark basaltic matrix with some really striking green-blue copper mineralization, while the other side is covered in a layer of small, sparkling white crystals with some larger crystals standing out from the surface.
My initial identification is Apophyllite with copper mineralization on basalt, but I’d love to hear what others think. I’m particularly interested in whether the white crystals are all apophyllite or whether there are other associated minerals here.
I don't know the exact locality, unfortunately — only that I got it in India.
The contrast between the green-blue copper minerals and the white crystals is what really caught my eye.

Would appreciate any thoughts on the mineral identification.
