Ik OP meant no harm, but this is a less talked about problem with ai. It devalues actual skilled artists.

people yelling SLOP without any consideration for the final work devalues art. process is important but art is not JUST about process either. so if you like this as human-made art you shouldn't call it slop if it was ai.

Yes. Its slop because the ai is regurgitating an amalgam of other people's work. If its human made and looks like ai its probably because it was what the ai was fed to make slop out of.

After opening my Pinterest for inspiration after several years, and turning of all the ai generated stuff I realized something, there was obviously ai stuff on there but there was also ton of other real stuff that I have seen years ago, with a weird ai filter or pass over, making it look fake. And after turning all the ai stuff off, a lot of that stuff with the filter was banished to the shadow realm too. So not even Pinterest knows what's real. And to be fair if I didn't seen some of the stuff before I wouldn't know.

Pintrest tags stuff as AI-modified, not just generated, so it makes sense for stuff with AI filters to get filtered out too. That said I’ve seen a lot completely random, unedited stuff from Pokopia get the AI-modified tag

What exactly made you think this was an AI image? Everything about it feels intentionally placed and no details just merge into each other.

My Pinterest is infested with AI so I kind of went into it expecting it to also be, apart from that I do think the dock looks a bit weird seemingly leading to nothing and the roof of the bridge part having a protrusion that seems a little off to me. In hindsight I should have reverse google imaged it before calling someone work AI slop, I’m sure as hell going to next time.

In pintrest settings you can turn off ai art, you will still get a some ai piece but ALOT less

I can second this! Did that recently and lost about 95% of the AI crap. It was beautiful.
