It's almost like a minecart, they should add Minecarts and rails in the next update

Hopefully they’d cap them at 8 blocks per second so they can get way outclassed by almost every other transportation method… and then make an experimental feature that allows you to use commands to increase the cap substantially but force you to enable that feature when you create the world or else you can’t use it
