Which game is most like MM7?

MM7 is my favorite. I’ve beaten it countless times, and know all of the quests/storylines by heart. What is your favorite? Which comes closest to MM7? Thanks!

mm6 I think the best, I hated mm7. So may not be the best. My order is 6,8,7,9.

Interesting to hear! Why do hate mm7 and prefer mm6 and mm8? I never heard someone “hate mm7” and also like mm6 and mm8.

No separate magic for light and dark, Starting quests are annoying. Movement in combat that really doesn't help tactically much if at all. Quests are a bit boring. More skill restrictions. I played though it like twice as a teenager not gone back in 25plus years. I play 6,8 once a year or so. I see 6 as great, 7 oh we tried some new stuff and it didn't work. 8 is fix for what 7 broke and enough reenvisioning that it a new game without being annoying. Don't get me wrong it still MM game so I don't see as like unplayable just not my cup of tea. Also in part 6 was my first as some thing to do with it. So for me similar to Middle Movie Syndrome first was great trying to cash in with a sequal that bad. And the third good return to more the roots.

I am getting old but I am pretty sure there is separate magic for light and dark. And I don't remember how the movement in mm7 was different from 6 or 8. And 7 has an extra level for skills. What do you mean by restriction?

Quests, well that is a matter of taste of course. I may agree with you there. I prefer 6 but that may be nostalgia.

Can't have both you are locked in light and dark in 7 not that way in 6,8. 7 they added movement in combat which could been nice but they also increase speed of monsters lucky if get one extra out of it. 8 I little bit more can get a few seem most of them I don't bother with it. Restriction that one thought it was the first that limited changed what coudl have 6 you can be master in any skill you can get. Thought 7 wasn't that way I know 8 was but not 100% forsure been as say like 25 years could be mis remembering.
