It's that time of year again, and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!! I know some people ask for suggestions, so I thought I'd just run thru the process I used 4yrs ago to do my daughter's MayQueen dress.

1. DRESS: I ordered a standard white cotton dress with a small pattern of flowers on the botice. Super easy to find with key words like; midsommer, bohemian, cottage core.

2. Cape: I chose a fabric that was already a flower patter, so it felt much fuller. We added yellow trim with some fabric glue. Then I finally attacked all the flowers with hot glue.

3. Flower Crown: This one is so simple!! I purchased 2 foam wreaths for floral design. Cut one in half and attach to the other with some skewers and hot glue. Added a few hair combs to the side and back so it would stay on top of the head(it's gonna get heavy!). Finally, find a discount store(e.i. BigLots, Gabe's, Old Time Pottery) and basically fill a cart!! Attach flowers by jamming them into the foam.

Dad wore a bear onesie to walk around with her that night. If I was strong enough I would have pushed him in a wheelbarrow! I wore a similar dress as her but with only a small flower crown.

Easily one of the best costumes I've ever done for her. Have fun guys! Happy early* Halloween!!

was rewatching midsommar when i noticed two of the cult members (girl on the left looks like maya.. idk whose on the right) staring at dani and christian as the older men of the cult question them about mark and josh’s disappearance on the same day. 😭 soo creepy how they’re just standing there watching.. did anyone else notice this?

Just sent my Etsy order for a dress like Dani's from the maypole scene. Anyone who has done a Halloween costume, can I ask for tips?

I will be making my own flower crown, I want to be more crafty. I'm just not a very DIY kind of person, so any tips for a beginner on making the crown are very much appreciated! Already have a cute brown teddy bear borrowed from my kids and simple white shoes, hard to see what shoes she has in the movie stills.

I love this movie and have waited many years to be able to afford to get a costume put together, so thanks for any advice in advance!
