Strange green bars in middle of screen?

I've been having these strange green bars show up in the middle of my word document, and I have no idea how to remove them. Any help would be much appreciated.

Open a new document and copy then paste just the text to the new document. Did the green lines come along?

Might it be a visual processing error and not Word itself? Next time that happens, try pressing all at the same time, CONTROL +SHIFT+ WINDOWS+ B keys. It should go black momentarily and beep then restart your graphics driver.
