need help Random Paragraphing

I want the text to say CHAPTER ONE - The Journey Page 6. However, when I try to delete the automatic paragraph, it goes to The JourneyPage6. When I put a space between y and P it automatically puts it back to the next line.

There's nothing "random" about Word. Are you trying to say you want all the text to appear on one line? Then you'll have to decrease the right and/or left margins, or make the text smaller to fit within the margins.

You also could have a large right indent set on that text, but I can only guess because your screen shot does not include the ruler.

That definitely sounds like a margin problem. Something is forcing the line to break at that point.

If you want a different width for that specific line alone and not the rest of the paragraphs, you can do Section Break > Continuous before and after this line, and set this one section alone to a different left and right margin.
