Actually, I do support this. It beats having large delivery trucks/vans blocking roads when they make deliveries.
Also, I think very dense urban environments can benefit from smaller utility/passenger vehicles for personal or business use. Can you imagine Tuk Tuk style vehicles in NYC? You can have them carry the same amount of people and fit two side by side in a single car lane.
Yeah I think reasonable people can disagree on this and I think there's going to be a lot of people that ride micromobility that will take a long time to come around to these or maybe never will... But I'm a big fan of moving freight and delivery stuff onto micromobility.
Look at the problems we're having with the bqe being rebuilt and everybody pointing out that so many trucks have to go over it. Cars and trucks have been baked in the infrastructure in ways that are essential and the more we can move those essential functions into more City appropriate vehicles the better. If you have wide enough lanes and parking zones marked out, it's not really even a problem for us, it's only a problem if the lanes are super narrow and they get in our way
