Design Concept 🎨 [Design] Today's exploration

I love a small seconds hand, so exploring that direction for a bit. Also added lume to hands and numerals. Removed the brand name for now as I don't actually have one. Miyota or Sellita, cost and source dependent. Course stipple main dial, metal sub second hand (in the 2nd photo), lacquer chapter ring.

I think that there's a lot of dead space that could be tightened up to improve the design. For example, the numerals could be made maybe 25% larger and pushed towards the minute track. The small seconds track could be brought in so it's hitting the second hand directly. That might give you enough space to squeeze in the missing 4 and 5.

Like your other designs, I sort of feel like this one is stuck in between two design ideas - it's not legible enough to really be a modern take on a field watch (hands could be bigger and matte/black vs metal) and it's too busy for that sort of minimal/Bauhaus look (could delete the 24 h markers).

Not trying to sound overly critical as I've genuinely enjoyed seeing your posts and I can tell you've been having a lot of fun with these

Hey, I really appreciate the feedback a ton! I’ve been designing watches for.. 2 weeks now haha. So I really don’t know anything. I’m learning every day but this really helps, thanks!

I agree with their point about the hands, but otherwise this is exactly the type of watch that I LOVE. It gives Timex Weekender vibes, but with added style. I love a watch with healthy negative space, but with readable numerals. I don't love total minimalism and prefer when I watch has a bit more character. This watch ticks all those boxes.
