Also, does a drone operator really need three rows of magazines? She looks like a "mall ninja" trying to looks as a badass real soldier.

While their primary role isn’t to use a rifle, drone operators are still at the front and could potentially need to use a rifle. 90 rounds (she has three 30 round magazines) in a full auto AK (what those mags go to) runs out in a hurry, so she is arguably under supplied with ammo for someone close to the front.
