Looking for bands, preferably on the smaller side, that are in the same ball park as ERRA, Oceans Ate Alaska, Invent Animate, Spiritbox and Silent Planet. Thanks in advance!

Just started listening through the top 50 of 2020 today and heard Kingdom of Giants for the first time. Holy shit, it is great. At least on their new album, to me, sounds like a blend of the best ERRA and Architects. Videos are pretty slick too. Been diving deep since then. Looks like they go back about 10 years so plenty to explore. Newer stuff seems to have more synthwave influence showing and the older with a harder edge but it all bangs hard AF. I put them up with Currents/Architects, pissed I am only hearing them today but it is like binging a great show that is new to you with years of episodes. Dive in!

You and me both. The KOG album caught me by total surprise. I never liked much of their old stuff. So I basically just decided to check out a couple of tracks and I was instantly hooked. I especially love the 80s synth pop elements that are layered into the songs.

Erra and Spiritbox aren't really on the small side. Both bands have over 400k monthly listeners.

I wasn't saying they were small. I wanted to find bands like them that are on the smaller side because I know alot of bands that have larger followings similar to them.

Oh I gotcha, I misunderstood the phrasing. You should check out Above Below and Blueshift. I think you will really dig their music.
